SSCF Free Medical Camp November

Sunday- November 2024

The Shree Shakti Consciousness Foundation (SSCF) conducted its monthly medical camp in November 2024, aiming to provide essential healthcare services and medicines to underprivileged individuals. A total of 75 patients attended the camp, where free consultations and medications were distributed based on specific health complaints.

Key highlights include the distribution of critical medicines like Iron (850 units), Calcium (515 units), B Complex (535 units), and Ranitidine (192 units), addressing common issues such as anemia, nutritional deficiencies, gastrointestinal problems, and general weakness. Seasonal ailments, respiratory complaints, and parasitic infections were also managed through the provision of cough syrups, Cetirizine, and Albendazole.

The Community Healthcare Head observed a significant decrease in the footfall of old patients at the camp. This indicates a sustained improvement in the health of individuals within SSCF’s adopted community. Additionally, new patients from Salapur Khera village and nearby areas sought assistance, suggesting that SSCF's influence is expanding and bringing positive health outcomes to neighboring regions.

The camp not only catered to immediate healthcare needs but also highlighted the long-term benefits of SSCF's efforts in promoting health awareness and accessibility, showcasing the organization's commitment to building a healthier future for all.

Children of Pratyek

Sunday, October 13, 2019

SSCF reserved one day of its regular schedule, in which monthly medical camps were conducted for the patients of Salapur Khera Village, to run a routine health check for children of Pratyek who are imparted education under SSCF’s Digital Literacy Program (#FightingChance). Over 100 young adolescent children were first examined and thereafter prescribed and dispensed with multi vitamins to boost immunity. The children thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and some even showcased their talents, including beat boxing, to the SSCF family. Later in the day, volunteers of SSCF, along with the doctors, also conducted sessions on creating awareness among the children on the importance of maintaining strong mental health and the importance of how not to succumb to peer pressure which led to experimentation with the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco. The closing of the medical camp saw the children have their fill of the wholesome scrumptious lunch prepared by SSCF, under its Community Nutrition Program, after which they returned back to St. Columba’s School.
